Freedom is NOT the ability to be or do what ever you please! Rather it is the ability to be what God designed you to be and to do what God desires you to do.
So too, bondage is NOT the INABILITY to be or do whatever you please! Rather it is the INABILITY to be what God designed you to be or to do what God desires you to do.
You might want to be "free" to fly like a bird but if you run off a cliff the only freedom you will experience is a free fall to your death! The simple reason is that you were not designed to fly like a bird!
You might want to live "free" of your parents' authority or free from any authority which God has placed over you. But if you refuse to submit to authorities which God has placed over you, you will shortly find yourself placed under and in captivity to many more authorities than you had in the first place! You simply were not designed to be God and BE the authority!
You might wish to experience "sexual freedom" by seeking sexual pleasure by any means that you please. But you will eventually find yourself with ruined health, ruined personal relationships and deeper bondage to habits than you ever thought possible. You simply were not designed to experience sexual fulfillment outside of celibate singleness or a life-long monogamous relationship with a spouse of the opposite sex!
